Generation 1, Part 2
Week – 1
Lot – 1 Legacy Lane
Atlantis Derp (G1, F) Knowledge, 4 8 6 3 3, LTW Become a mad scientist
Last time we were on the lot, Atlantis got talking to Jim Turner, a possible co-founder. The next day, she saw him with another woman and…assuming he was spoken for, proceeded to flirt with Amar Monif.
Unfortunately, Atlantis’s assumptions were wrong, and Jim was not happy when he saw Atlantis with Amar, proceeding to shout at her in the middle of Red’s Diner. Atlantis was left very upset, but Amar consoled her.
Atlantis is a simple soul at heart. Even a bowl of serials can be enough to put a smile on her face sometimes.
So, Jim Turner decided to walk past the lot. Apparently his soul purpose was to stand there and look pompous. Still, Atlantis didn’t want any enemies in Derp Canyon. If she and Jim could at least get back to being civil, then maybe things would be okay.
As it was, as soon as Atlantis said hello, Mr Turner made an excuse about the time, and said he needed to head home.
“So, can we all agree that he is a bit of a jerk?”
Yes, Atlantis. On this, you and I are in agreement.
As if THAT wasn’t bad enough, the next morning, while Atlantis was getting ready for work, Jim stole the newspaper. Yep. Hell hath no fury like a man scorned by a woman.
Atlantis had settled into a pretty comfortable routine of visiting the gym after work, which helped with her fun and hygene needs while she was without a shower and tv. That particular evening, Amar had also insisted on meeting her, to make sure she was okay.
“So, Atlantis, do you like bowling?”
“I don’t know, I’ve never been.”
“You’ve never been bowling! Right, follow me.”
“Oh no, Amar, are you okay?”
“Yep, nothing hurt except my pride.”
“Ooops. There’s my pride dying alongside it.”
“Pro tip. Avoid the gutter.”
“Hey. This is my first time.”
“Is it really? I honestly couldn’t tell.”
“You’re right. That was cruel. How can I make it up to you?”
“I can think of a couple of things.”
Soooo, I’m going to go out on a limb here and suggest that Jim is out of the picture.
Yup, we have hearts.
And suddenly, the casual outing was Atlantis’s first ever date.
Amar wanted to dine out, so Atlantis booked them a table.
Look at that face. She is absolutely smitten.
“Here, have a bite of this meal that is exactly the same as what you are having.”
Although at this angle, I am worried that it looks like Atlantis is stabbing Amar with the fork.
Don’t forget to breath there, will you kids.
Now I will never EVER claim to be an expert in The Sims 2, but one thing I can do is ace a date. Atlantis and Amar had a dream date, despite Atlantis being dead on her feet from exhaustion by the end of it.
They even became best friends as a result 😀
“Their day of judgement will come.”
Oh Jim, I didn’t see you there.
No, honestly, I didn’t notice that Jim was sitting there until he started voicing his disgust about Atlantis to The Count, who TBH looked like he couldn’t care less.
Glowy eye doggo has glowing eyes
“Can’t stop. Going to be late for work.”
“See you tonight.”
Welp, at least she won’t have any issues with concentrating at work.
As it turned out, Atlantis should wear the thinking cap more often. She got a promotion at work, and celebrated by buying a fridge and inviting Amar over.
It was Amar’s first time seeing the lot.
“You didn’t tell me you were a legacy sim.”
“Yeah. My big worst kept secret.”
“The place looks…good. You know, you’ve done well.”
“Actually, the timing kind of works out. Look I have no right to ask this, but you know if you don’t ask the answer is always no.”
“Okay, Amar. I’m listening.”
“Well, it’s just, the lease on my apartment is about to expire, and I WAS going to renew it but…well, what if I move in and help you build up the place. Two jobs is better than one with a legacy house, right?”
“You…you’d do that for me?”
“Live in a field with an outside toilet. Sure.”
And so Amar joined the lot.
Amar is a fellow knowledge Sim, stats 2, 3, 9, 7, 4. Life time want to become Chief of Staff, which DOES make one wonder what he is doing in the military career, but hey ho.
He brought $5, 853 so the bank. And guess where some of that money is going.
Nope. H&M, you. NOW!!!!
While there was nothing WRONG with Amar’s default outfit, I did feel it was a LITTLE bit boring, so we swapped for a more casual, relaxed look for our future Chief of Staff.
More of Amar’s money went towards giving Atlantis’s lot it’s first proper room. The bathroom.
